Breast Cancer Doesn’t Discriminate
At Akoya Clothing, our purpose is rooted in resilience, compassion, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel strong, supported, and seen, especially in the face of breast cancer.
Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or lifestyle. While risk increases with age, young women are not immune.
That’s why awareness isn't just for someone else. It’s for all of us.

Be Breast Aware: Know Your Normal
Being breast aware means staying in tune with your body and knowing what’s normal for you. Breast cancer doesn’t always come with a lump, so it's important to look for other signs too.
What to look for:
- A new lump or thickening in the breast or underarm
- Changes in size, shape, or symmetry of your breast
- Skin changes like puckering, redness, or dimpling
- Nipple discharge or inversion
- Persistent breast pain or swelling
Don’t wait, early detection can save your life.
A mammogram or a simple check-in with your doctor could make all the difference.
In Australia women aged 40 and over are eligible for a free mammogram every two years, and women aged 50 to 74 are actively invited to screen through breast screen programs.
No matter your age, if you notice any changes or have concerns, see your GP immediately. You know your body best, and being breast aware could save your life.
